The Corsairs Night
Every August 23rd, Naousa transforms into one of the most magical places in the Cyclades.
On this special night, the village honors the Feast of the Virgin Mary with a celebration unlike any other—the legendary “Pirates of Naousa” reenactment.
As dusk falls, traditional boats glide into the harbor carrying “pirates” who rush ashore, filling the narrow alleys with music, dancing, and joyful chaos. Locals and visitors come together to relive a centuries-old custom that blends history, tradition, and pure island energy.
Naousa’s charming port, its whitewashed beauty, and the sound of violins under the summer sky make the night unforgettable.
A celebration of faith, culture, and the vibrant spirit of Paros.
